Gerson Garsed-Brand
Founder and CTO
Gerson is a Mechanical Engineer specialised in Aerodynamics, with a doctoral degree from the University of São Paulo. Originally from Brazil, he relocated to the United Kingdom in 2008 to pursue his ambition of working in Formula 1.
Following positions in aerodynamics development, performance, and correlation at Caterham F1 and Renault F1 teams, more recently Gerson took on a leadership role building the Computational Fluid Dynamics team and capabilities for the Cadillac Formula 1 Team.
Beyond Formula 1, Gerson has contributed to numerous high-performance aerodynamics applications through Sabe, the consultancy he founded in 2019. His portfolio includes America's Cup campaigns, the aerodynamic design of the McLaren W1 hypercar, serving as lead engineer for the Automobile Club de l'Ouest in the aerodynamic homologation and trackside performance analysis of Le Mans Hypercars, development of novel concepts such as the HaloDrive propeller system, and various other projects.
Through Striding Edge, Gerson leverages his extensive network of high-performing specialists and his broad knowledge base to tackle advanced engineering challenges extending beyond aerodynamics.
Kynan Fletcher
Technology Integration Specialist
Kynan is an Aerospace Engineer specialised in Electric Propulsion and System Integration, with a master's degree from the University of Southampton and research experience at MIT. Originally from the United Kingdom, he has lived and worked across 40+ countries, bringing a global perspective to technical innovation and commercial execution.
Following his training as a military aviator, Kynan served as CTO of a robotics start-up, scaling the team while designing heavy-lift UAVs, ML-driven robotics systems, and establishing supply chains spanning prototyping through production.
He subsequently founded a venture developing a patented rim-driven electric propulsion system, raising over $500K in funding and achieving >27% efficiency gains validated through prototype testing.
Kynan has also contributed to advanced engineering challenges through strategic consulting and technical analysis. His expertise includes competitor benchmarking, investor-ready concept development, and market positioning for next-generation aerospace and transport platforms, alongside extensive experience developing global fabrication partnerships across China and India.

Filipe Buscariolo
Advanced Simulation Specialist
Filipe is a Senior Aerodynamicist with strong experience in automotive aerodynamics and Computational Fluid Dynamics.
His professional background includes work in Formula 1 aerodynamics, contributing to high-performance vehicle development using advanced CFD and wind tunnel methodologies. His expertise centres on high-fidelity simulations and the correlation between numerical and experimental results, bridging cutting-edge research with real-world engineering applications.
He holds a Master’s and PhD degree in Mechanical Engineering from the Universidade de São Paulo, and a PhD in Aeronautics from Imperial College London.
Alongside his industrial career, he has significant teaching experience in Mechanical Engineering. His academic and research work emphasizes advanced numerical methods—particularly spectral/hp element methods—and he has authored several publications connecting academia, motorsport, and the automotive industry.
